After looking everywhere for the perfect one, I finally got hold of a duster coat that I actually liked. It is the perfect shade of beige, not too light or too dark perfect for that ‘inbetween’ season stage. Loose, lightweight, easy to wear and drapes in all the right places.
I have been after the perfect duster coat for a while as its got to that point where its too cold to go without a coat but, its not cold enough to be wearing a heavy thick coat yet as its still quite humid in the air so the duster coat is that perfect ‘go to’ item between the changing seasons.
I paired this camel duster with these beautiful floral trousers that I picked up from Marks and Spencer recently in the sale. I just loved the combination of colours together. I paired the trousers with a peachy chiffon pleated vest which picked up a colour from the flowers on the trousers. I thought the colours all looked really subtle together and blended nicely. I thought the top and trousers were the perfect balance with the duster coat to keep the outfit still summer inspired but just with that added layer of clothing to keep the chill away.
Instead of pairing my plain camel suede bag which would of looked just as nice I decided to pair my khaki and snakeskin effect bag with brushed gold hardware with the look instead just to give it something extra.I slipped on my go to camel suede heels to match the coat and they completed the look I was going for.
I loved this duster coat so much I also decided to get the black version too. A perfect colour for when it does get darker in the nights and the winter arrives. That will probably be on the blog later on in the year. It will be the practical ‘spring/summer’ to ‘autumn’ transitional piece without going straight into a heavy and thick coat!
