You know that in-between weather when theres a chill in the air but its not quite cold enough, or your not even ready to pull out your winter coat? Yes you know the feeling I am on about, I feel like this right now. Well let me introduce you to the sleeveless waistcoat. In todays ‘How To Style’ post I talk about the wardrobe staple for those in-between seasons when you don’t know what to pair with your outfits to take the chill off. Honestly living in Wales, for anyone else that does will know that when I say British weather is so unpredictable.
I had my eye on this sleeveless green waistcoat in Next when I spotted it in the Cardiff branch when I was working about two months back. However about a week after I saw it and by the way I had totally forgotten about it, I found it in the sale section, last one left in my size. It was obviously totally meant to be, or at least thats what I told myself.
I decided to pair this green sleeveless waistcoat with my nude stud tailored cropped trousers which I have had for a while with my all over floral loose shirt (both items by the way are none other from Zara). The trousers picked up the hint of nude through the shirt and the green waistcoat added a deeper contrast of green to give the overall outfit balance. My Zara nude laser cut lace up heels and suede nude bag seemed like the perfect minimalist accessories to complete the look.
I’ve grabbed this waistcoat so many times to wear its so easy to throw on over a shirt and even paired with skinny jeans or a skirt. Ive defiantly got my wear out of it. I even purchased a black, rust and a khaki version too as I think they are so versatile. What do you think of this look? Do you like wearing the sleeveless waistcoat? How do you wear yours?
