So one of the latest trends to be heavily featured all over is the scarf – and no I’m not talking about the ordinary wooly scarf [for once the weather in the UK is too nice for one of those yet!], Im talking about the very versatile silk scarfs that are rocking up everywhere at the moment.
I bought this beautiful silk scarf in Paris from the shop at the top of the Eiffel Tower a few years back when they were on trend before and we all know fashion goes full circle – thats why I held onto it. Its printed with the tourist attractions in Paris like the Eiffel Tower and The Sacre Coeur, and many more and has a mix of orange, cream, pink and browns in it.
Whats great about the little silk scarf is that it can be worn in many different ways as shown in my images. I have worn it as a neck tie, around my bag and tied around my hat all to give different looks.
I paired this scarf with this orange crepe and organza slip dress from Next as the colours matched perfectly. I feel this outfit would be a great look for abroad or even travelling. I paired it with a tan shoulder bag that has laser cut detailing on the front flap which shows flashes of orange through which match the bag and scarf also. I then paired my new bargain straw hat which cost £7.00 from Topshop to finish the look off.
I will definitely be investing in some new silk scarfs for AW this year, Have you tired this trend yet?
