So we arrived in Nice. As we knew we were only in the South of France for two days! (Yes a quick trip we know – back to the reality of work on Monday morning) we made sure we were all ready to get off the plane as quick as possible, head straight to our luggage and get straight to Avis where we hired our car from.

Good job we were quick the Avis queue had already built up so we joined quickly! Unfortunately we were got out of the airport about an hour and a half later due to queuing which was annoying but finally we were on route to Monaco. We headed straight to cafe de Paris and had food as we were starving. It wasn’t as good as last year but the sun was shining and we were in Monaco!

We finally checked into our hotel The Columbus Monaco after our sat nav had a bit of a hissy fit and we had no service on our mobile phones! The service was outstanding and the hotel was beautiful. The second day was my 25th birthday waking up in Monaco with my fiancé was amazing -beautiful scenery, amazing weather and delicious food, what more could I want?

We headed down for breakfast and it was so delicious I forgot to even photograph it. I had pancakes and crepes with Nutella, followed by a strawberry Danone yogurt which always taste so much better abroad! Nick had a full breakfast and said it was so good.
We headed out and shot blog posts in the morning to make the most of the beautiful scenery which you can see here and here. While shooting we came across ‘Heli Monaco’ which was right by our hotel we watched some helicopters take off and land and decided to go inside for more information. Nick said what better way to celebrate my 25th and our engagement than take a helicopter ride over Monaco!?
It was more pricey than we thought but decided to go ahead anyway and our slot was booked for 12pm. We had a whole hour to shoot one last post [here] and pack our room before loading the car ready to have our helicopter flight. We then planned to spend the afternoon on the beach in Monaco before heading back to the airport for our flight home. What a perfect weekend.
