So the weather is getting colder and colder but I am definitely not ready to part with my summer clothes yet. I decided to wear this floor length maxi dress by Zara and pair it with some winter accessories.
I absolutely love this maxi dress. I first spotted it in the TRF section in Zara, and for £29.99 I thought it was such a good price. Even though I liked it so much I never jumped at the chance to buy it straight away and thought I would get it later on in the year. Eventually when I thought my wardrobe could do with the dress, I went in to purchase it and yes you guessed it – it was gone! I asked a member of staff to check if they had any in stock but It was actually sold out, not available in any other store and sold out online too. I thought to myself If I had really liked it that much I would have bought it sooner, but now that I couldn’t actually get hold of the dress I now wanted it more than ever.

So thats when I thought I would try EBay for some luck. I found it on there in my size and for the same price which it was sold for in Zara with free postage too. I never thought I would find it for the same price because usually people mark up prices on EBay. I couldn’t believe my luck, I was so happy when I received the item It fits perfectly. It was definitely meant for me!
I decided to pair my black stud boots from River Island and my burgundy clutch from Next, to pick out the darker flowers. I then thought I would add my burgundy fedora hat to give it that extra piece and tied my western buckle belt around my waist to match the detailing on my boots. I thought this would give the floral maxi a bit of an edgier look rather than go for a girly look. This would also look great with a leather biker jacket thrown over the shoulders too.

What do you think of my summer maxi look styled for winter? Do you have a favourite maxi dress?
