So this is the first time I’ve worn a ‘double’ outfit on this blog. I was browsing through my wardrobe to find something to wear with these beautiful emerald shorts from H&M. I know I blogged not so long ago wearing these, but I love them so much I decided to pair them with a plain top to show how versatile they can be as opposed to the printed blouse. Click here to see that post ‘How To Style: The Satin Lace Short’.
I came across this light emerald blouse also from H&M and thought that it may work with the shorts and when I tried it on together I really liked the effect it gave. The same colour, but in different shades gives such a nice contrast even though the materials are the same. The lace trimming on the shorts gives them that extra ‘something’ and makes them look a lot more expensive than they are. The shorts cost a whole £14.99 from H&M in Florida and I was so thrilled when I found them out there as I already have them in an olive green which I bought from the UK, but these stood out more to me and emerald green is huge for this winter. I may even try and combine them in a winter post for you guys to see.
This week winter has really been showing. Its getting colder and the weather has gotten wetter. I will be sad to see the summer clothes on my blog venture out for the next few months, but do keep an eye out in November for some ‘limited’ summer posts from a holiday that I am going on in a few days! Be sure to follow my instagram @wardrobewhispers to find out where I am going as I will be posting and updating social media throughout my trip.
Summer is definitely my favourite season although I can’t wait to shoot some of my favourite winter looks for you all to see. I think I actually own more winter clothes than summer but this is purely because of the fact that I live in the UK and the majority of the time as you all know its pretty cold and wet here. One thing I do like about winter clothing is the layering you can create.
But for now lets just enjoy this summer post. This look will be perfect for cocktails with the girls or a date night with your man. I paired this outfit with my favourite Zara nude laser cut out heels and my ‘go-to’ Coco Blush suede nude bag.
