So here it is, the last of my summer outfit posts for 2016. [insert sad face] My favourite season is officially over so I thought I would leave it on a high with this look ‘Dressing up the palazzo trousers‘. I love palazzo trousers. I actually have quite a few pairs, plain, patterned, silky you name it, I probably have it. I feel like they are such an easy item to dress up or down depending on the occasion.
This was a warm summer afternoon and my fiancé and I spent it down Langland in Mumbles to make the most of the weather. I decided to dress up a little more than usual and add a pleated chiffon top into the mix, although even pairing a simple v-neck white tee would perfect this look down to a ‘t’ [no pun intended]. The chiffon vest has a slight hint of peach to it and picked up the colour from the flowers in the trousers. Normally I would always pair a tighter style top if I have a wider pair of trousers on but I think this top is so subtle, cropped and because its slightly translucent it still shows off the shape of my figure without the need of something cinching me in.

I paired this outfit with one of my favourite ‘go-to‘ bags from Dune. I adore the colour of this bag its not quite pink and not quite nude its that peachy in between colour that is so versatile! This bag picks up the colours in the flower trousers like the top does and contrasts perfect with the pleated top. I think the strong and deeper tones of this bag compliment the outfit overall and pull the entire look completely together.
Do you like palazzo trousers? How do you style yours?
